Man Selling Hushpuppi Portrait Raises Stir In Lagos

A video showing a Nigerian man attempting to sell a portrait of Hushpuppi, the Instagram celebrity presently undergoing trial in the United States for multiple fraud crimes has stirred twitter users in Nigeria.

In the now-viral, the trader was seen advertising Hushpuppi’s portrait, to a potential customer for a price of N30,000 in a location in Lagos State. The scene caused some bemusement to the potential buyer.

Hushpuppi, legally known as Ramon Olorunwa came to limelight for his lavish display of extravagant lifestyle on Instagram, without any verified legitimate source of wealth in the public space.

In June, the Dubai Police, operation dubbed “Fox Hunt 2″,arrested Hushpuppi for allegedly defrauding over 1.9 million people in the tune of N168 billion and was subsequently extradited to the United States of America for trail

The Dubai-based Instagram celebrity is currently in the United States facing trial for cyber fraud-related offences.
