The news that a former protegee of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has raised allegations of imprproeity against him has shaken many Nigerians.

While some are questioning the motif of the petitioner, Dapo Apara, others are wondering to what extent the allegations which remain unproved will damage the alluring political structure of the national leader of the APC.

Dapo Apara, a Nigerian chartered accountant, in his petition accused the former governor of Lagos State of various improprieties.

Apara also accused a sitting governor of involvement in the affair.

Not surprisingly, the allegations have set social media abuzz and the many political enemies of the famed political leader have jumped into the fray with the intention of derailing the national leader’s political momentum.

Former adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokiri who has in the past hit at Tinubu and other officials of the Muhammadu Buhari administration was particularly biting in his reaction charging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC not to cover the petition.

He warned that should the EFCC fail to act on the petition that that would lead to the start of an #EndEFCC campaign in the mode of the campaign against SARS

GWG presents reactions from other Nigerians to what remain allegations that have not been proved in the court of law.
