Fury As Stray Bullet Kills Boy During #EndSARS Protest

The death of a young man, Jimoh Isiaq who was allegedly shot by officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) during the #EndSars protest, in Ogbomoso, Oyo State has sparked outrage on the social media.

Isiaq was sent to his grave by a stray bullet from police officers, who allegedly disrupted the ongoing nationwide protest for the disbandment of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), a police unit, in Ogbomoso.

Images showing the deceased standing afar from the center of the protest, before he was shot also appeared on the social media.

Despite efforts from the unarmed protesters to rescue the deceased, he was later confirmed dead at the Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

The deceased was buried on Saturday evening, based on the Islamic rites.

Isiaq has joined the list of Nigerian youths who have been killed by police officers in the country.

Nigerian youths are protesting nationwide against the brutality suffered in the hands of operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), calling on the Nigerian government to disband the squad.
