Balarabe Musa, Nigeria’s Consistent Man Dies

The first civilian governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa has died at 84, former Senator Shehu Sani has announced.

Musa who was elected governor on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP in 1979 was impeached in 1981 by the National Party of Nigeria, NPN dominated House of Assembly on account of irreconcilable differences.

Musa had remained consistent in progressive politics all through his life and he was one of a very few politicians who held office that was not once stained by the spoils of office.

He was consistent in articulating the issues of the poor and the majority of Nigerians and refused to be lured by the major parties and remained with his PRP all through.

Announcing his death on twitter on Wednesday, Senator Sani said:
