BREAKING: Maina Extradited To Nigeria!

Abdulrasheed Maina, the former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), has been extradited back to Nigeria from Niamey, Niger Republic to where he had fled.

Maina was flown into the country aboard a Nigeria Police Force jet which touched ground at exactly 2.17 p.m. on Thursday.

He was arrested in Niger after he was declared wanted by the court trial him over allegations of money laundering to the tune of N2 billion.

Maina was arrested on November 30, 2020 following collaborations between operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, INTERPOL NCB, Abuja and Nigerien Police.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, immediately commended those who helped to track him down including the collaborations with local agencies and their international associates.
