BREAKING: We Abducted Katsina School Boys To Promote Islam – Boko Haram

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has confirmed that his group carried out the kidnap of hundreds of Katsina school children last Friday.

Shekau’s claim was made in an audio message that was reported by HumAngle.

He said that the group carried out the attack to promote Islam and deter un-Islamic practices including western education.

“What happened in Katsina was done to promote Islam and discourage un-Islamic practices as Western education is not the type of education permitted by Allah and his Holy Prophet,” he was quoted as saying.

“They are also not teaching what Allah and his Holy Prophet commanded. They are rather destroying Islam. It may be subtle, but Allah the Lord of the skies and earths knows whatever is hidden. May Allah promote Islam. May we die as Muslims.”

“In a nutshell, we are behind what happened in Katsina,” he said.

The Boko Haram group which according to the Federal Government had been defeated, technical defeated and decimated.

The government has also claimed that Boko Haram does not occupy an inch of Nigerian territory despite reports that the kidnapped Chibok Girls and Leah Sharibu are in the custody of the terrorists within Nigerian territory.

The latest mass abduction was carried out within hours of President Muhammadu Buhari’s arrival for a six day private visit to Daura, which is about 150 kilometers from the scene of the incident.

Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State following a visit to President Buhari in his Daura home on Monday confirmed that the government was already negotiating with the terrorists.
