Lady Rejects Nude Video Blackmail, Reports Rapist Neighbours
Men of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended two men who allegedly gang-raped a 19 year-old lady after forcefully making a video of her in the nude which they attempted to use to blackmail her into silence.
Damilare Oyeniyi, 30 and Emmanuel Okori, 20 were arrested last Wednesday, 16th December, 2020. The arrest happened four days after they allegedly committed the offences on the 12th of December 2020.
The suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Sango police station by the victim who reported that the two suspects who live in the same compound with her dragged her into the room of one of them, stripped her naked, filmed her in the nude before taking turns to rape her serially.
Upon the report, the DPO Sango division CSP Godwin Idehai detailed his detectives to go after the suspects who took to flight after the deed.
The investigative effort of the detectives paid off on the 16th of December 2020 when the duo were eventually arrested.
On interrogation, the two suspects confessed committing the crime. They confessed making a video of the victim in the nude with the intention of threatening her not to report or else the video will be posted on social media.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of suspects to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
