Former Speaker Dimeji Bankole on Friday got married to Aisha Shinkafi Saidu, daughter of the incumbent governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu.

The ceremony in Abuja as had been predicted was full of glitz and glamour not just from the political class, but also from the Lagos social crowd which came in solidarity with one of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors.

GWG had reported that Bankole had divorced his wife in 2017 and been in a relationship with Aisha for some time now.

The new husband and wife are graduates from the United Kingdom.
