Reactions As DJ Cuppy, Zlatan Quarrel Is Explained

As Nigerians and music lovers continue to speculate on the reason Zlatan Ibile blocked Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy on social media, new facts have emerged that Zlatan Ibile composed his new song, “Lagos Anthem” to pour scorn on DJ Cuppy. Many have also reacted as the DJ Cuppy, Zlatan quarrel is explained.
GWG had reported that DJ Cuppy had stated that she didn’t know why Zlatan blocked her on social media.
Now the reason for Zlatan’s action and his further scorn of DJ Cuppy during an interview session has emerged.
In an interview on Soundcity’s ‘The Switch’ show, Zlatan had shockingly said he did not know anyone called DJ Cuppy.
That is despite the fact that the two of them did a duet ‘Gelato’ which was a commercial success.
The explanation for the beef hit social media on Friday as Afeare Isreal, an aide of Davido, came out to describe DJ Cuppy as a fake friend as she used Zlatan Ibile and dumped him.
Israel wrote: “Kudos to someone like Zlatan, who took a bold step by flushing a full fake friend like Cuppy who was just using his head all in the name of my papa na Otedola.
“Zlatan did a hit collabo with her, ordinary one kobo, he no see. She also took Zlatan to Abuja for her fundraising where she made billions of naira and didn’t even remember Zee for one kobo until tomorrow. No accommodation, no feeding. Zlatan had to even spend his own personal money at Transcorp Hilton to cater for everyone including me. Dis na 2021 abeg.”
Reacting to this development, some Nigerians took to the micro-blogging platform to get understanding for the lyrics of “Lagos Anthem” by Zlatan Ibile.
Many pointed out that some lines were targeted at the billionaire’s daughter. The singer had sang, “You get money, u no sabi sing”, and many stated that this line and others which they also pointed out were directed at DJ Cuppy.
