Arsenal and Manchester United finished as equals at the Emirates stadium following a drama laced encounter. It was indeed much drama but no goal as Arsenal hosted Man U.

Alexandre Lacazette, however, had in the 15th minute unleashed a powerful strike which turned out to be a routine save for David De Gea.

Four minutes later, Fred chose precision over power from the edge of the box as Bernd Leno’s outstretched gloves kept out the ball from going in.

The game was now open in terms of goalscoring chances and Nicolas Pepe was the next to showcase his hunger for goal when his 20th minute curl went wide after a couple of step over on the ball to confuse Luke Shaw.

Thomas Partey who is known as a player with an eye for goal shot wide, before Granit Xhaka nodded straight at De Gea from a corner kick.

Surprisingly, Aaron Wan Bissaka made an audacious attempt to open the scoring from his header in the 32nd minute and Bruno Fernandes dribbled past David Luiz and bended his foot around the ball, only for him to narrowly miss the target in the 33rd minute.

Three minutes after the restart, Willian’s shot from close range was blocked by Wan Bissaka to keep the game level at 0-0.

Edinson Cavani missed a sitter in the 58th minute before Lacazette’s free kick clattered the woodwork and Smith Rowe blasted an effort which De Gea parried brilliantly stopped.

Nicolas Pepe would be second time unlucky as his curled effort was the carbon copy of what he missed in the first half. With three minutes left on the clock, Cavani fired blank from close range for the second time in the game as the two English football powerhouses shared the spoils at the Emirates Stadium.
