Cornerstone Insurance Appoints Adeola As Independent Non-Executive Director

Cornerstone Insurance Plc, on Thursday announced the appointment of Dr Ogechi Adeola as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company.

A notice sent by the Insurance company to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) stated that the appointment is subject to ratification by members at a general meeting.

” We trust that she would make significant contribution to the company in her role as an Independent Non-Executive Director , ” the notice read .

Adeola is a legal practitioner, a prolific researcher, writer and teacher with extensive interest in financial services, strategic marketing and digital marketing in developing economies.

She has over 25 years of work and consulting experience in the Nigerian Financial services sectors and is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Lagos Business School .

Adeola is also an alumni of the Manchester Business School, United Kingdom.

The notice said that with the appointment, the Board of the insurance firm now comprised Mr Segun Adebanji, Chairman; Mr Ganiyu Musa, Managing Director/CEO, Mr Steve Iwenjora, Non- Executive Director; and Mr Ekwunife Okoli, Independent Non- Executive Director.

Other are Ms Elizabeth Amadiume, Independent Non- Executive Director; Dr Ogechi Adeola , Independent Non- Executive Director; Mr Tony Egbuna, Non- Executive Director; Mr Tokunbo Bello, Executive Director; and Mr Chidiebere Nwokeocha , Executive Director.
