Confusion As Igboho Arrests ‘Soldiers’ On Spying Mission

There was confusion on Friday after two men said to be soldiers were paraded along some other hoodlums who allegedly were on a spying mission to Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho in his Ibadan base.

The soldiers were paraded along with the hoodlums by Igboho’s aides.

Igboho’s associates who interrogated them claimed in the video shared on the twitter handle of the Yoruba Nation said that they came as spies to attack Igboho.

The two soldiers who were on a motorbike, however, claimed that they missed their way and were apprehended after they intervened to arbitrate a quarrel between two fighting men.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that the two men along with the hoodlums have been handed over to the police.

Igboho who was overheard during the interrogation chided the two civilians as bastards of the Yoruba race, saying “you will all finish”.

“If you want to prove anything, it should not be to me Igboho. You are bastards among Yorubas. If not, they would not have sent you to me. And I promise you will finish. I will finish you,” Sunday Igboho said angrily.

Despite the anger of the onlookers, Igboho stopped his people from assaulting the soldiers and the two young men and handed them over to the police, who drove them away in their vehicle.

Igboho aide, Olayiwola Koiki faulting the soldiers’ claim that they missed their way wondered why they left their Alakia barrack to pass through Soka, where Sunday Igboho’s house is located.

He saw it as another attempt by the federal authorities to get at Igboho.

“This indicates that the threat to Chief Sunday Igboho is still very high. What are military men on a bike searching for? We are calling on the Federal Government to tread softly with their military and the civilians they placed around Sunday Igboho’s house,” Koiki said.

However, opinion was mixed on twitter on the development.

While some said that the soldiers should not have been paraded and made to sit on the ground as was seen on the video, others said that they should have been given the summary treatment by being killed immediately.
