No Hardship Can Break Africans – Vector

Nigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun aka Vector Tha Viper has reinstated that the African mind can never be broken no matter how much hardship is instilled on the people by their leaders.

While using some Nigerian tribes as a case study, Vector identifies the strength of an Igbo man, the learned mind of a Yoruba man, or the loyalty of a Hausa man stating that each person has their uniqueness which at the end forms a will that cannot be shattered.

“It is funny how African leaders don’t see how the African mind can’t be broken No matter how much you make things harder, we will learn our ways around it and win”, said Vector.

“You can copy the stamina of an Igbo man in this case or the learned mind of a Yoruba man or the honesty/modesty and loyalty of a good Hausa man, the order of a Calabar man or the heart of a Delta man. In entire Nigeria, there are many values we learn from who we are daily”.

Vector, however, admitted that there are traitors among the people but the numbers are in the minority. “Amidst us, there are snitches too but we all know how that story goes.”

He continues: “My father didn’t fail if he raised me and I will not fail if I raise my kids. The awakening is a process and we have started. By all means, honesty must win. We are the generation that won’t lie that “we came first in school” so our kids can do better in School. We are the generation that knows life is by wins and losses.

“The win is our spirit, the loss is the traitors of the spirit. We have accounted for that.

We have seen many of them on social media too. We recognize them. We are also aware that they recognize us! The fun part is, we don’t have to form holy. I don’t expect the change to come, I am it. Let the music be more than the surface.”

Vector alongside Seun Kuti recently launched Power Mic, a platform aimed to enlighten the public on the need to understand their importance as a citizen.
