Popular Nigerian music producer and sound engineer, Adey has made quite a controversial claim on social media as he shares insight on some realities pertaining to the cost of living.

Sighted on his Twitter page, Adey who uses the handle @itsAdey pointed to the fact that it will take 20 years for a Nigerian man or woman who earns 500,000 naira monthly and does not take kobo from it to buy a small apartment in Lekki.

He tweeted;

If you earn 500k a month and don’t spend a single naira from your salary, it’ll take you 20 years to buy a very small semi detached property on 400sqm in lekki phase1. 

His claim went down well with Twitter users but they quizzed if it was necessary to live in Lekki.
