May Day: Nwoye Greets Anambra Workers

Anambra PDP governorship aspirant, Dr. Tony Nwoye has eulogized workers in the state on the occasion of the 2021 International labour day saying vowing that workers would have better to celebrate if he becomes governor.

Dr Nwoye while emphasizing on the theme of this years May Day “maintaining safety and security at the workplace” said that the security and safety of the workforce should be top on the agenda of every government and corporate organizations as without the workforce, the system will not work.

Nwoye reiterated the need for the government at all levels to prioritize the welfare and needs of the workers stating that when the workers are well taken care of, that it will spur them and motivate them to put in more efforts in the discharge of their duties.

The erstwhile student leader who said he understands the plight of the workers in Nigeria and Anambra in particular affirmed that during his time as the National President of the National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS), that he fought for the rights and provision of educational equipments and subventions to Nigerian Universities which yielded the desired goal at that time.

He promised Anambra State workers that he will take it up from where the present Administration will stop in making sure that the workers are well attended to as their inalienable rights will not be tampered on if elected as the next Governor. He said that remuneration Of workers as and when due should not be celebrated by governments as every laborer deserves a pay day.

The Medical Doctor turned politician and businessman congratulated them and urged them to continue doing their best in promoting the growth and development of our dear state and the society at large.

 Dr. Nwoye was earlier in the week cleared by the PDP Anambra governorship screening committee.
