Naira Marley Offers To Sing The New National Anthem

Controversial Nigerian singer popularly known as Naira Marley has offered to sing the new national anthem of the proposed UAR.

Yesterday, it was proposed that Nigeria’s name be changed to United Africa Republic or United Alkebulan Republic as Nigeria (UAR)

According to the report that has gone viral the House of Representatives’ Special Committee on Constitution Review has received a proposal to change Nigeria’s name to the United African Republic.

The proposal was reportedly submitted by Adeleye Jokotoye, a tax consultant on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

He said a change of name for the country would physically and psychologically reflect a new beginning.

Reacting to this, Naira Marley has vowed to compose the National anthem which will contain the new name of the country if it is approved.

”Omo Na me go sing the new national Anthem for UAR,” Naira Marley wrote.

The tweet was meet with different reactions as some of his fans are of the opinion that changing the name Nigeria doesn’t tackle pressing issues while others have encouraged him to sing adding that they are solidly behind him.
