Sunday Igboho Denies Arrest, Says He Is In His House

Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has denied claims of his arrest, affirming that he was as at late on Friday in his Ibadan residence.

The denial came as sources disclosed that the Alfa who was killed during the invasion of his residence by security operatives as an uncle. It had been claimed that the Alfa was his spiritualist who was killed in order to demystify the spiritual powers of Sunday Igboho.

Speaking in a facebook live session, Sunday Igboho denied the claims that he was arrested by the DSS at Sat Guru Maharaj Ji Camp near Ibadan and subsequently whisked to Abuja.

In a recorded voice note on Facebook by his media assistant, Olayomi Koiki, during a live show at about 11:59pm on Friday, July 2, 2021, Sunday Igboho debunked the rumour of his arrest.

Sunday Igboho, who spoke in Yoruba affirmed in the Facebook session that he was in his Soka residence in Ibadan and had not been arrested.

According to him, “Good evening my fans. I thank you all. My name is Sunday Igboho and today is July 2 , 2021. I have been hearing that they have arrested me at Guru Maharaj Ji. It is a lie. I was not at Guru Maharaj Ji. I am in my house in Ibadan and nobody arrested me,” Sunday Igboho said in debunking the viral claims of his arrest.

It has also emerged that one of the two persons killed during the Thursday invasion of his Ibadan residence was the maternal uncle of Sunday Igboho and not his spiritualist as had been alleged.

The Alfa who is a brother to the mother of activist, according to reports had visited Sunday Igboho that day and happened to be praying when the security operatives arrived. It was reported that the security operatives thought him to be the spiritualist of the Yoruba Nation activist and shot him.

His body was reportedly taken away from the residence.
