Gwg gathered that the Yoruba Nation agitators are set to protest in Ibadan on Wednesday afternoon.
The statement read, “EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY, PLEASE WE BEG ALL AGITATORS TO CONVERGE AT CHIEF SUNDAY IGBOHO HOUSE FOR A PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION TO SHOW THE WORLD THE KIND OF PERSON HE IS AS ONE OF THE CONDITIONS GIVEN FOR HIS RELEASE…
“PLEASE LET’S ALL BE AT HIS HOUSE IN SOKA IBADAN BEFORE 12 O CLOCK TODAY THANKS AND GOD BLESS. YORUBA NATION NOW NOW NOW.”
Sunday Igboho, who was arrested at an airport in Cotonou on Monday night, is still being held by the Beninise authorities.
Recall that the Yoruba Nation agitators had last week protested against the raid of Igboho’s residence by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and demanded the release of those arrested in the residence of the rights activist.
The DSS had raided Igboho’s Ibadan residence in the Soka area on July 1, 2021, arrested about 12 of his aides, and killed two of them in a gun battle.
