Rachel Oniga: Patience Ozokwor In Genuine Tears

Veteran Actress Patience Ozokwor shared a video of herself crying uncontrollably at the death of her friend Rachel Oniga.
Patience Ozokwor who has won plaudits for her screen roles in tears and in mischief was, however, in pitiable and true grief on hearing the death of Rachel Oniga saying that the devil has done its worst.
Patience Ozokwor who said that she was ignorant that Rachel Oniga had been sick said that the last time they met that they even discussed plans for some collaborations.
“Rachael! I can’t believe this, I thought it was one of those scams, if anyone had told me death will only be so soon, I won’t have believed it. Rachael! We had discussions together the last time we met… wonderful actress; bold and beautiful. Oh my goodness! I wish this is not true. I can only believe this because I saw it on Actors Guild of Nigerian page. Nobody even told me you were sick. I could not even say sorry to you my friend. Rachel!!… I am sorry my sister, I am sorry… It’s a pity… It’s so sad… I will miss you so much” Patience Ozokwor said of her friend and contemporary, Rachel Oniga.
Meanwhile, the family of the late Rachel Oniga had released a statement debunking rumors that she died of COVID-19 complications.
The official statement read in part: “With a heavy heart and total submission to god, we write to announce the passing unto Glory of our beloved sister, mother and grandmother, Chief Rachael Tabuno Oniga. She died in a Lagos hospital at the age of 64 on Friday, 30th of July, 2021 at about 10pm.
Contrary to diverse reports informing that she died from COVID-19 complications, we write to inform the general public that she died from a heart related issue; an ailment she battled with for a short period before her demise.
Meanwhile several celebrities have consoled with Patience Ozokwor and with the family of the late Rachel Oniga on the development. Several others also posted pictures and videos that captured moments with Rachel Oniga.
