Armed Robbers Attack Delta Mall, Shoot One, Cart Away Goods


At least one person was shot on Tuesday when armed robbers attacked a shopping mall, Raycom Telecommunications, at Akpodiete junction, along Isoko road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The assailants looted the mail carting away mobile phones, accessories, laptops and unspecified amounts of money.

The yet-to-be identified man who was shot in the stomach has been hospitalised for medical attention.

The robbers operated unhindered for over one hour as security operatives were conspicuously absent at the scene.

They robbers reportedly wielded sophisticated weapons like AK-47 rifles.

The police command in the state is yet to issue a statement or speak publicly on the incident.
