Impoverished Boy Eating Fufu In School Gets Scholarship, To Relocate To Canada

Fate has smiled on a less privileged boy who became an internet sensation for his choice of fufu as food during  ‘Our Day’ event.

The impoverished schoolboy went viral on social media with his ‘Our Day’ photo.

The boy, identified as Daniel, was seen in the viral photo eating fufu during his school’s ‘Our Day’ celebrations.

Being a strange choice of food for such occasions, Daniel’s photo caught the attention of social media users and started to trend online.

In the midst of the frenzy, a man on social media volunteered to help Daniel and change his life. To achieve this, he sought the help of social media users in locating the boy.

Consequently, one Wendy Boatemaa Ofori assisted in locating the little boy. According to Ofori, Daniel is a pupil of the Nkwantapong D/A Primary School which is located in the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region.

After finding him, Ofori revealed that the boy’s mother is mentally unstable while his father is deceased.

“Found him. He is in the Ashanti region, making arrangements to go see him????. His mother is mentally challenged and his father deceased ??‍♀️. His elder brother dropped out of school at class 5, he has joined galamsey, so he can support his other siblings ??‍♀️??‍♀️. This life” Ofori Wrote.

Ofori travelled to Daniel’s village to meet the boy’s family and shared a photo.

After the fufu eating boy was found, Owusu Afriyie, the man who promised to sponsor Daniel’s education to college-level revealed that another man was willing to adopt Daniel.

According to him, the man has offered to adopt Daniel and relocate him to Canada
