Former Member Of Delta Of Assembly Dies
A former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Denis Omovie, who represented Warri South Constituency 2, is dead.
The death of Omovie was announced as the House of Assembly commenced plenary session on Wednesday morning by Speaker Sheriff Oborevwori.
He called for a one-minute silence in respect of the departed lawmaker.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Omovie was a member of the House of Assembly from 2003 when he was first elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP until 2019.
A lawyer by training, he has held senior positions in judicial and public petition committees of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The deceased was married to Justice Mabel Omovie of the Delta State High Court, Asaba and the marriage was blessed with four children.
