Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, stage name Burna Boy has been called out on social media for allegedly refusing to pay a debt of N1.2 million.

A Twitter user, Mastermind’kacks @KacksMastermind, accused the Afrobeat singer of taking the loan during his friend’s birthday party at livelounge in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The post reads, “Damini Ogulu,@burnaboy your debt of (1,200,000) naira to Rasak, from April 2021 on your friend’s birthday at livelounge in Victoria Island Lagos. All efforts to reach you has Been futile, You are now contacted to make the payment in due time”.

The accuser also claimed they had reached out to Burna Boy’s mother, who is also his manager, but no response; instead, she blocked their line.

However, some fans of the singer have jumped to his defence.

@ulsherlan: I’m sure there is no way Burnaboy will purposely be in a 1.2m debt. That’s small for his kinda person. Back then, that was how people came out to accuse Wizkid of owing too. But whatever it is, I hope it’s sorted ASAP.

@stick_sweett: First you said he was an upcoming artiste, now he’s owing you a common N 1.2m. Whatsoever you’re cooking against Burna and those that believe this your clout may y’all get x100 of it. Amen!!!

@profgotswaggz: I don’t get! Na 1.2M naio be gbese for Burna Boy??? You people obviously don’t know how to absorb information! This is obviously clout

However, two people in the comment section engaged in a war of words with one revealing one of the people at Obi Cubana mother’s burial owing him 76,000.
