Govt Should Hide In Shame, Nigerians React To NDA Attack

Nigerians have expressed shock over the Tuesday morning attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA by bandits and called on the authorities to hide in shame.

Daily Trust had reported how bandits broke into the Afaka barracks of the NDA in the wee hours of Tuesday.

A Lieutenant Commander simply identified as Wulah and Flying Lieutenant CM Okoronwo were shot dead while another officer was abducted.

While some think the invasion has exposed the ‘weak’ security architecture in the country, others said nobody is safe in the country.

A commentator, Musa Auwal said, “If the Nigerian Defence Academy could be attacked, that means no body is safe. We need fervent prayer in this country.”

Another commentator, Abd Ler Thev, said, “If bandit could invade barracks for that matter, Nigeria is no more safe,” as he echoed the sentiments of many Nigerians shocked over the early Tuesday morning attack on the NDA by bandits.

“I can boldly say Nigeria Army is not responsible for saving my life and properties as they were always say.”

Sani Salhu Dauda said, “May be this would force them to take decisive action against the Bandits or whatever they choose to call them or we all leave the country for them.”

Sharu Babangida, also a social media, user, asked the authorities to bury their heads in shame.

“What a shame ? we are on our own because the institution saddled with the responsibility of protecting citizens is now a prey,” he said in another echo of the sentments of several Nigerians over the attack on the NDA.

Another user said, “Tomorrow they will carry placard that Nigerians should forgive them, that they are sorry. Then the APC government will say we are going to rehabilitate blood tasty demons and reintegrate them into a sane society. The whole thing is just very painful.”
