The fallen service members were killed while supporting non-combat operations in Kabul, Afghanistan after the Taliban swept into Kabul this month, taking over control of the Aghan government.

Joe Biden, his wife Jill Biden, alongside military commanders welcomed the corpses and payed their last respect to the fallen heroes as their family members and relatives watched in agony.

After the private meetings between Biden and family members of the slain, Biden witnessed what’s known as a dignified transfer, as flag-draped cases containing human remains were unloaded from the back of a cargo plane.

Before the transfer began, Biden walked up the ramp into the plane to pray. He was joined by the first lady, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley and other military leaders.
