Ondo: Landlord’s Son Kills Tenant For Insulting His Father

It was a tragedy in Ondo as a landlord’s son identified as Samuel Omojola in Akure, the capital of Ondo, allegedly killed a tenant for insulting his father.

According to reports, the tenant, Kehinde, was hit with a plank on the head by Samuel during an argument with the landlord over rent payment at the house located at Oke-Jebu area of Akure.

An eyewitness said that the landlord accused the deceased of always insulting him whenever he requested that he should settle his house rent.

The source said that ”the insult however did not go down well with the landlord on this particular day as he put a call across to one of his sons who immediately arrived at the scene.

”But instead of inquiring about what transpired between his father and the deceased, the suspect just took a plank and hit the tenant on the head.

“The tenant fell on the floor and was bleeding profusely. Their neighbours quickly rushed him to the hospital where he was admitted and died two days after”.

In another news, an officer of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA, identified as Okeugo Ugonna, has reportedly killed a 17-year-old boy for dumping refuse behind a filled up receptacle.

According to reports, the suspect killed the teenager, Daniel Ogbonna, when he came dispose refuse at about 5:30 pm on Sunday, but the receptacle was filled.

He was said to have left the area after disposing the waste outside the filled receptacle.

However, another official identified as Biggy was alleged to have asked the suspect to arrest the victim for disposing the refuse outside the receptacle. But the arrest ended in death.
