Amid Insults, Pressure On Fani-Kayode To Quit Twitter

Pressure was at the weekend mounting on the controversial politician, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode to quit the social media platform, Twitter following his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The pressure is upon the ban on Twitter operations in the country on June 5, 2021 following the deletion of a controversial tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Following the ban, many stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC including First Lady, Aisha Buhari quit the platform.

Fani-Kayode who joined the APC last Thursday has, however, continued to use the platform to give his narrations especially to his “brother governors.”

His latest tweet commending the brutal response of the military to bandits in which he backed the call by Senator Ali Ndume to hit the terrorists hard irrespective of human rights concerns saw a backlash from twitter users who told him to leave the platform in adherence to the order by the Buhari government.

The call to obey the Buhari government is besides the unprecedented insults on the former aviation minister from Twitter users over his defection and recant of his past utterances.
