Davido: How Seven Of Davido’s Crew Members Died

This isn’t a good time for popular Nigerian musician and DMW Boss Davido as he’s once again lost a member of his crew.

The singer has been getting backlash and various speculations due to the trail of deaths involving his crew members and close associates.

Recent deaths involving members of his crew has left many of his fans worried over his psychological and mental state.

Others have called on the public to pray for the singer as he could be going through a lot especially with the series of ugly deaths around him.

It is no news that the singer has lost a handful of friends in the space of four years and at different times has  mourned the demise of his associates on social media platforms.

Recall that on June 6, 2021, a video showing a pastor prophesying that Davido would be poisoned by a friend went viral on the Internet.

The cleric had said: “I am telling you about one singer called Davido. They will poison him. I don’t know him. I’ve never seen him in my life.

“But they will put something inside his drink. He’ll be rushed to the hospital (and) he’ll be admitted. He’ll be unconscious.

“I’ve been dealing with it in prayers but the Lord says it will happen. And the person that will poison him is sleeping in his house.

“Somebody give the Lord a clap offering. Did he die? I didn’t see him die, but he will lose something in his body that will handicap him.”

In an apparent reaction to the prophecy, Davido tweeted, “God will expose and deal with any wickedness around me near and far. Amen. I’m blessed.”

Here is a list of crew members who have died in four years:

1. Fortune

Fortunate Ateumunname Peter, popularly known as Fortune, was the Davido Music World (DMW) chief official photographer. He died in September 2021.

The photographer is the fifth member of Davido’s crew to pass away in four years in a controversial circumstance.

2. Obama DMW

Uthman also known as Obama DMW, died in June 2021. He was said to have complained of breathing difficulty.

3. Tagbo Umeike

Tagbo died in his car parked in front of Lagos Island General Hospital.

He died on his birthday in 2017 after it was reported that he downed shots of tequila.

4. DJ Olu

Olu Abiodun, also known as DJ Olu also died. Until his death in 2017, he was a brilliant DJ in the DMW gang.

DJ Olu, also known as Olugbenga Abiodun, was discovered dead in a BMW automobile parked in a garage on Banana Island, Lagos, alongside another of Davido’s buddy Chime Amaechi.

5. Chime Amaechi

Chime was another close friend of Davido’s who died together with DJ Olu. Blood was gushing out of their mouths and noses when they died on the same day. According to police sources, both of them may have died as a result of using too many hard drugs.

6. Tijani Olamilekan

Tijani aka Teejay, who has been the singer’s personal bodyguard for 11 years, also died after a brief illness in December 2020.

7. Ahmed (King Jhaffi)

The death of Ahmed, affectionately known as King Jhaffi, is the first death in Davido’s camp in the year 2020.

Davido confirmed Ahmed’s death on social media in a very devastating state. Although the reason of his death has yet to be determined, it is apparent that Davido was pained by his death.
