Leicester City and Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has said he’s looking to score more for Leicester City, after finding the net in the Foxes 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Millwall.

Goals from Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman on Tuesday night, earned Leicester a spot in the third round.

In an interview with Leicester City TV, the Eagles forward revealed his delight at scoring during the midweek.

Iheanacho said, “It was a sweet goal, a rocket, and we’re happy with that. It was teamwork and we’re happy going into the next round. We put the work in today. We defended really good in the last 10 minutes and we got the first goal early in the second half.

“I’m happy with the goal and we’re looking forward to the next game.

Iheanacho was also pleased to see new team-mate, and potential Super Eagles strike partner, Lookman open his account for City on 50 minutes after the Nigerian’s effort was parried by Lions goalkeeper George Long into the loanee’s path.

“It was a good counter-attack from the team and I took the ball well and tried to put it in the bottom corner, but the ‘keeper parried it,” Leicester’s No.14 added.

“Ade finished it well. It was a difficult finish, a difficult technique, but he guided it in, so it’s a good finish.
