Pastor Killed By Kano Mob Buried In Katsina

The deceased pastor of New Life for all Nation Church in Masu community, Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano state, Shuaibu Yohana who was killed by a mob has been laid to rest in his Gingi, Musawa Local Government Area hometown in Katsina State.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the slain cleric was buried on Thursday, September 30.

Yohanna died on September 23 following fatal wounds he received after a mob attacked him and set his residence and church building ablaze.

Before his murder, he was the CAN chairman in Sumaila Local Government area of Kano state in Nigeria.

Pastor Yohana was murdered by a mob in the Kano community which was in pursuit of a Christian convert who had been accused of involvement in the killing of an in-law.

Yohanna had reportedly intervened in the matter. The mob lynched him and also burnt down his church, house and school.

Yohanna’s wife had escaped from the mob attack with their children the night of the attack. The pastor’s house, church and school were reportedly burnt by the mob.

The state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has meanwhile, petitioned Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of those who instigated the mob into lynching the pastor.

The chairman of CAN in Kano State, Samuel Adeyemo in a statement described the killing as inhuman.
