50th Anniversary: NNPC Issues Scam Alert
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC has issued a scam alert in respect of a 50th Anniversary Quiz contest it described as fake.
The NNPC said the trending online publicity on the quiz competition did not come from it, Garba Deen Mohammed, Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of the corporation said.
“In the purported quiz contest, unsuspecting participants are encouraged to answer four questions on their knowledge of the Corporation, with the eventual winner standing the chance of winning some cash reward of up to N30,000,” Mohammed said in the statement.
“The NNPC wishes to state categorically that it has nothing to do with the purported 50th anniversary quiz contest,” he reiterated.
