Chelsea Fans Brag As Kepa’s Penalty Skills Keep Carabao Cup Hopes Alive

Supporters of Chelsea FC have been bragging on the exploits of their number two goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga after he diverted two penalties in the club’s Carabao Cup victory over Southampton on Tuesday night.

Kepa saved one from Theo Walcot and psyched another Southampton player to shoot his kick over the bar.

The fantastic performance in the penalty shootout comes on top of previous performances that have thrust him as the club’s best goalkeeper in penalty shootouts.

Last Tuesday night’s performance, however, came with the best and worst outings for the Spain goalkeeper. Kepa had allowed the ball in between his legs for Southampton to slot in the equalizer. He, however, followed that by pulling at least five fantastic saves that kept the team into the shootout.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered some reactions from Chelsea supporters on the performance of their reserve goalkeeper who ironically is the world’s most expensive goal keeper. Kepa cost Chelsea £72 million when he transferred to the team in 2018.

Among those to react on Tuesday night was Ben Chilwell who scored on the night and has been on fire for club and country in the past five weeks.
