VIPs Flood Kano As Sani Dangote Is Buried

Very Important Personalities, VIPs from across the country flooded the ancient city of  Kano on Wednesday as Sani Dangote, the younger brother of Africa’s richest man, Aliko  Dangote, was buried. Sani Dangote died in the United States on Sunday.

Sani Dangote was laid to rest in a cemetery at No.92 Sarari quarters in Kano, on Wednesday morning.

His body had arrived in Nigeria from USA on Wednesday morning.

The Chief Imam of the Emir’s palace, Sani Muhammad, led the prayer session at Kofar Kudu, Emir’s Palace, Kano.

The funeral service witnessed a host of dignitaries.

Notable among them were Senate President Ahmad Lawan; former Senate President Bukola Saraki; Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Borno state Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, his predecessor, Senator Kashim Shettima, former Bauchi state governor, Adamu Mu’azu,  THISDAY Publisher, Nduka Obaigbena; Chairman, BUA Group, Abdussamad Isiyaka Rabiu.

Others were Director-General, DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi;  Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, among others.

Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika represented the Federal Executive Council as Sani Dangote was buried

Mallam Tijjani Bala Kalarawi, who led the burial session, prayed for the deceased soul while admonishing other Muslim faithful to be observant of good deeds while they still live on earth.
