Nigerians Mock Fani-Kayode As ‘Brothers And Friends’ Keep Mum After EFCC Arrest

Following the news of the arrest and subsequent release of former Aviation Minister and APC Chieftain, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for forgery on Tuesday in Abuja, social media users took to their platforms to react.

Many users mocked Chief Fani-Kayode that despite his defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, he was still being hounded by the EFCC.

Chief Fani-Kayode, however, through his Twitter page denied he was arrested by the EFCC, as he insisted that he was invited and granted bail on self-recognition after spending six hours, and thirty minutes in the anti-graft agency’s custody.

Many, however, reacted negatively to his tweet and GreenWhiteGreen, GWG gathered some of the reactions with one of the most outstanding comments coming from a twitter user, Mindset who mocked the former minister over his often use of “My brother and friend,” to depict his friends in high places.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Fani-Kayode has used the term so often that many Nigerians now often mock him with the phrase. Mindset did exactly same when he tweeted:

For many the news of the arrest of Fani-Kayode by the EFCC was turned into a mockery of the former minister and APC chieftain.
