Consecutive Wins For Gerrard, As Aston Villa Edge Crystal Palace 2-1

Matt Targett and John McGinn sealed Steven Gerrard his second win as Aston Villa boss on Saturday against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace.

Gerrard won his first game in charge of Aston Villa last weekend as they beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0.

The Villans took the lead early on against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace. Ashley Young’s corner eventually fell to Matt Targett. The full-back did well as his effort flew into the bottom corner.

Aston Villa doubled their lead through McGinn before Marc Guehi scored a consolation in stoppage time.

They are now level on points with Palace, who are ahead of their rivals on goal difference.

Gerrard has a tough run of games coming up as his Villa side face Man City, Leicester, Liverpool, and Chelsea in December.
