Mixed Reactions As Pope Francis Says Fornication Isn’t The Most Serious Sin

Mixed reactions have been elicited following Pope Francis’s statement that sex outside marriage isn’t the most serious sin.

The statement by the Pope Francis has sent Nigerian social media users into a debate.

Pope Francis made the statement while taking questions from journalists, where he said sins of the flesh are not the most serious, unlike pride and hatred which are the most serious of sins.

The Pope’s answer was in reply to a question on the Archbishop of Paris Michel Aupetit who resigned last week over an affair with a secretary.

In reaction to the statement, some users took to social media to question the Pope’s line of thought, considering all sins are equal before God, while some took decided to look on the bright side and plan for Detty December escapades in light of the new papal statement.
