BREAKING: FG To Arraign Nnamdi Kanu’s Co-Defendants On Terrorism Charges

The Federal Government is set to arraign the four co-defendants of Nnamdi Kanu on terrorism charges on Wednesday morning.

The arraignment is scheduled for the Federal High Court in Abuja, before Justice Binta Nyako.

Already, heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, have taken position in and around the court premises to ward off possible threat to peace by their followers.

At the time of this report, the four co-defendants of Nnamdi Kanu, namely, Bright Chimezie, Chidiebere Onwudike, Benjamin Maduagwu and David Nwaurusi were already seated in the court room.

Meanwhile, both Justice Nyako and counsel to the Federal Government, Mr Shuaib Magaji Labaran were yet to arrive the court.

Lawyers to the co-defendants, led by Ifeanyi Ejiofor who is also a counsel in the cases against Nnamdi Kanu have arrived and were waiting for commencement of proceedings.

Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has assured the new Enugu Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Joseph Toby, of his administration’s continued support for the organisation.

Ugwuanyi gave the assurance when the sector commander paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday at the Government House, Enugu.

The Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG), Prof. Simon Ortuanya, who received the commander on behalf of Ugwuanyi said that the FRSC would always get the state government’ support and cooperation.
