Adidas Under Fire As Outrage Grows Over Racist Treatment Of Kurt Zouma

Outrage and calls of racism were mounting on Thursday over the treatment meted to West Ham and France defender, Kurt Zouma by football authorities and sportswear maker, Adidas after a video of the playing kicking his two cats emerged.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Zouma, 27, has been dropped by his sponsor Adidas while West Ham have fined him £250,000.
The player is also being threatened with the prosecution with the prospect of a four-year jail term for kicking his cats.
It was reported that Zouma, a former Chelsea player got angry with the cats after they destroyed some items in his house.
However, social media users have been livid over the treatment meted to the black player and compared worse infractions by other white players who got away with lighter sanctions from the authorities and corporate sponsors.
Comparisons have been made of the treatment of other white players including Eden Hazard who kicked a Swansea ball boy in January 2013 for which he only got a red card.
