Nigerians Blast Minister For Saying ‘Power Failure A Thing Of The Past’

Nigerians on social media have reacted with anger and disbelief following a statement credited to the Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy Agba on power failure being a thing of the past.

The minister gave the assurance on Tuesday, February 22, while speaking at a town hall meeting in Abuja.

According to Mr Agba “Power failure is a thing of the past. By the end of the year, 85 percent of Nigerians will have electricity. Also, all the houses will be metered – you will only pay for what you consume.”

Agba added that many of the power projects started by the federal government will be completed before the end of Buhari’s tenure.
