Buhari’s Social Media Activists On The Run After Death Of Female Doctor In Train Attack

Supposed social media supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC were on the run on Tuesday morning as it emerged that the young female doctor they mocked after being shot in the bandit attack on the Abuja – Kaduna train had died.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that in the early stages of the Tuesday night attack that a young female doctor now identified as Dr Chinelo who worked at St. Gerard’s Hospital, Kaduna had confirmed the attack saying that she had been shot.

She had tweeted thus:

The tweet received several disparaging comments from some partisans who thought she was faking her situation. A number of them according to Twitter trends have been in the past abusive of critics of the Buhari administration.

The death of Dr Chinelo who was set to relocate from Nigeria on Friday has raised a dust as several Nigerians have come to twitter to condemn those who impugned her tweet. Among those who have been identified as ridiculing her after she was shot was one twitter user identified as Abolore who asked, “Are you dead now?”

It is not known if Dr Chinelo saw Abolore’s tweet before she passed on following the bullet she received in her stomach region.

Nigeria is heartless. The supporters of the ruling party are even more heartless. Those that abused the late Dr Chinelo while pleading for prayers after being shot, aren’t just stray individuals. They’re avowed supporters of President Buhari, VP Osinbajo and Mr Bola Tinubu.

The next time someone mocks a misfortune that befalls an APC supporter and you tell them to be empathetic, I hope you’ll remember how they mocked Chinelo in her dying moments. There is no being a better person with these people.

As at Tuesday afternoon none of the alleged Buhari cum APC social media activists had come to defend the tweets and attacks at Doctor Chinelo but were taking a respite from the social media space.
