Halima Nwakaego, the daughter-in-law of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has stirred a strong debate on the increasing adoption of caesarean section by pregnant women as a way of bringing birth.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Caesarean birth otherwise known as C-Section or Caesarean delivery involves the delivery of a baby through incision into the mother’s abdomen is normally adopted by doctors when a pregnant woman has issues with normal delivery. It is usually less stressful but more expensive as it surgical.

Of recent many ladies to avoid the excruciating pains of vaginal delivery have been electing C-Section irrespective of their conditions.

Halima Nwakaego El-Rufai who is married to the governor’s son, Bashir recently gave birth to a set of twins by caesarean delivery following their marriage not too long ago.

The part Igbo, part Hausa-Fulani Nwakaego El-Rufai has now come out to issue a stern warning to critics who assume that she didn’t give birth on her own because her children came by way of C-Section.

On a post she made on Instagram on Friday, said it was stupid for people to say things like “Baki Haidu Da Kanki” (meaning she didn’t give birth on her own)

“No, someone else gave birth with me. Very stupid,” she said.

“Let one more person tell me ‘ai baki San wahalan haihuwa” because I got a c-section.” she added.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had reported how Halima Nwakaego El-Rufai prior to the birth of the twins observed that she was going to miss the baby bump and the attendant pains of carrying her twins.

A part of me is going to miss this baby bump, and the closeness to my baby. Feeling the little kicks and movements, it’s such a beautiful feeling. Alhamdulillah for this blessing

The back pain is insane, I hate bedtime because that’s when all the pain kicks in. I spend so much time in the toilet peeing, getting up to pee is a task,” she had posted while waiting for the delivery of the babies from her hospital bed in New Jersey, USA.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that caesarean births is normally recommended by doctors for multiple births as was the case of Nwakaego El-Rufai who delivered a set of twins about two months ago.
