David Edevbie and Sheriff Oborevwori are reportedly respectively backed by James Ibori and Ifeany Okowa for the 2023 PDP governorship ticket

Given the increasing state of political activities in the state, it was not unexpected that the presence or absence of some political actors would be interpreted rightly or wrongly.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Okowa who is due to exit office in 13 months has been dogged in controversy over the choice of a successor. It has been reported that he is opposed to the emergence of his erstwhile chief of staff, Olorogun David Edevbie becoming his successor.

Also present was frontline PDP governorship aspirant, Senator James Manager along with his famous 2015 political foe, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan.
