Simi Reacts To Anti-Wizkid Sentiments Following Grammys Snub

Superstar singer, Simi, has taken to social media to slam fans who reacted with excitement and happiness following Wizkid’s snub during the Grammy Awards

Wizkid was nominated in the Best Global music album (Made in Lagos: Deluxe edition) and Best Global music performance (Essence) categories but lost to Angelique Kidjo and Aroof Aftab respectively.

In the aftermath, Wizkid fans accused the recording academy of robbing their favourite and described the platform as being overrated others celebrated Machala’s Grammy loss noting that the singer and other colleagues in the music industry failed to celebrate their favourite, Davido after he featured on 2022 World Cup, Qatar official soundtrack “Hayya Hayya”

Reacting to the feud between ‘Wizkid FC” and “30 BG”, Simi questioned if there is anything wrong between the two fan bases as she asked why they are acting as if the two artists are representing two different countries apart from them being Nigerian.

Simi tweeted; “Way some of you be acting like we are representing 2 different Nigeria. What is wrong with you?”
