Nollywood Stars, Celebs, Storm Owerri For Rita Dominic’s Marriage Events

Aboh Mbaise, Imo State was on Tuesday in a festive mood after Nollywood stars, friends, kinsmen and well wishers of one of Nigeria’s leading actresses, Rita Dominic descended on the ancient town for her traditional marriage to Fidelis Anosike.

Among the well wishers from the industry to have arrived nearby Owerri for the traditional wedding that is taking place in her country home are some of the prominent names in Nollywood including  Joke Silva, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw, and Ini Edo.

A report has it that the wedding will take place in her late father’s compound, which is also the palace of the traditional ruler of the community, HRH,   Eze Marcellenus J.O Waturuocha. A report has it that the vicinity was by midday on Thursday already besieged with well wishers who have come to witness the traditional marriage.

Rita and fiancé, Fidelis Anosike subsequently arrived the family compound sometime at about 1.00 p.m. amid a tight cordon by a combined team of security men including the army, police and private security groups.

According to a Vanguard report, the couple opted for a private traditional marriage, while they plan to hold a reception later in the day at the Landmark Event Centre, Owerri.

The Nollywood stars have used Owerri as their staging post for the traditional marriage of their friend, Rita Dominic.
