Commander Injured As Bandits Set Kaduna Vigilante Patrol Vehicle On Fire

Gunmen suspected to be Bandits injured a vigilante commander and set a patrol vehicle on fire along Manini community, near Kurega town, in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A source in Kaduna on Friday said that the local vigilantes were on routine patrol, when suddenly, they came under heavy attack by the bandits.

He mentioned the name of the injured vigilante as Musa Audu.

Confirming the incident, a community leader, Mohammadu Umaru said the vigilante commander sustained bullet injury.

According to him, the terrorists blocked the highway for hours on Thursday evening after setting ablaze the only Gulf vehicle the vigilantes use to patrol the highway.

“The vigilante commander was hit with a bullet on his shoulder, but thank God he is responding to treatment,” he said
