Alaafin Of Oyo Dead At 83: Nigerians React

Nigerians have been reacting to the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Atanda Olayiwola Adeyemi who passed on late on Friday.

Recall that GreenWhiteGreen GWG had earlier reported that the Alaafin of Oyo died om Friday, at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

The monarch was 83 and reigned for 52 years, which made him the longest serving monarch in the State.

Some Nigerians took to social media, describing his death as a colossal loss to Yoruba land, adding that he was a role model to all.

His death is coming at a time after Oyo State lost two first class monarchs: the Olubadan of Ibadan and the the Soun of Ogbomoso in the last five months.
