Police Apprehend Two Terrorists, Rescue Victims In Katsina
Two terrorists have been apprehended by the police in Tsamiyar Gamzago village, Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.
SP Gambo Isah, spokesman of the Police Command Katsina, while displaying the dead bodies of the terrorists at the State headquarters of the command, stated that the command received a distress call that terrorists, armed with AK 47 rifles, attacked Tsamiyar Gamzago village, Kafur Local Government Area and kidnapped one Hama Sanusi and her little fifteen-month-old daughter, Aisha Sanusi.

He added that a combined team of the police and the vigilante group were alerted and they immediately blocked and engaged the hoodlums in a fierce gun duel.
The PPRO expressed delight that the team successfully repelled the terrorists, neutralized two of them and rescued the kidnapped victims unhurt.
He explained that on the course of scanning the scene, one AK 47 rifle with four rounds ammunition and two locally fabricated pistols were recovered, adding that some of the terrorists escaped and fled the scene.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Idrisu Dabban Dauda, hailed the efforts of the police and the vigilante in repelling the terrorists.
He assured members of the public that the police would continue to deal decisively with recalcitrant terrorists until they were all brought to book.
He urged members of the public to continue to cooperate with security agencies by giving out useful information on the criminals.
