Adekunle Gold Surprises Wife, Simi With Birthday Cake On Nigerian Idol Set

Popular Singer Adekunle Gold got his wife Simi emotional when he showed up during the Nigerian Idol reality show on Sunday with a surprise birthday cake.

Simi, one of the judges on the show, could not hold back her excitement when her husband Adekunle Gold came backstage with a birthday cake for the singer who clocked 34 last week.

Adekunle Gold presented the cake to his wife Simi saying, “I am your biggest fan. I am proud of you, well done, Deja and I are rooting for you and we love you, I love you”.

The excited mother of one hugged her husband and they shared kisses while the crowd cheered.

In his birthday message to Simi on April 19, Adekunle wrote: “My angel from above You’ve given me something special. Simi, you’re my favorite sign. It must be the reason why we align. You’re perfect and that’s facts. Pretty Pretty face and you don’t brag Baby, take my card, buy yourself a new bag. Happy Birthday, Magic.”

Meanwhile, popular Nigerian secular singer, Seyi Shay has shown a glimpse of her newborn daughter on her Instagram page.

The 36-year-old mum reposted a photo of her daughter on Instagram on Sunday, showing off her baby’s hand.

The Instagram user Bukola who uploaded the photo Seyi reposted congratulated her saying, “congratulations on your greatest hit.”

“Thank you, mama,” Seyi replied.

Seyi announced the birth of her daughter in an Instagram post on Friday.
