Besides the news of the resignations in Sokoto, Nyesom Wike has mocked David Umahi during a campaign visit to Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital telling the host governor to prove that he is the man he claims to be by resigning and re-contesting the office of governor.

Lamenting what he described as the betrayal of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP by Um(ahi and others, Wike said that it was unfortunate for a man who got everything he desired in politics to defect at the apex. He further mocked the Ebonyi State governor of making alternative plans to contest another seat (Senate) while making the pretense of running for governor.

Wike who spoke at the weekend tasked Ebonyi delegates to trust him with the mandate of the party saying that he is the only one who could fight the All Progressives Congress, APC to a standstill and win the election.
