Man Stealing Church Electrical Appliances Electrocuted As Power Returns

A man, simply identified as Bouncer has been been confirmed dead after being electrocuted while allegedly trying to steal electrical appliances in a church in Aba, Abia State.

Residents who witnessed the incident said the deceased was a street urchin and affirmed his name as Bouncer.

Bouncer who was electrocuted at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Eziukwu-Asa-Okpuaja area of the city was said to must have scaled a back fence in the night before finding his way into the church.

His body was discovered in the morning, the source added.

The thief had already dismantled some equipment and was cutting wires when power was restored, leading to his electrocution.

“The church has lost newly-fixed roofing sheets worth millions of naira. We have lost too many plastic chairs. Nothing is safe here. Not even the roofing sheets,” a church worker revealed.

When called to confirm the incident of the man electrocuted while stealing electrical appliances in a church, Police spokesman Geoffrey Ogbonna revealed that Bouncer’s body had been deposited in a mortuary.

Meanwhile, GreenWhiteGreen GWG has reported how residents of Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa Isolo area of Lagos, were shocked after they discovered a married man and his side chick dead inside a Highlander Sport Utility Van, SUV bearing the apocalyptic number plate EPE 666 GE.

The man who was identified by residents as Koyejo was found dead naked while the lady was found near naked in the vehicle that had been isolated in the area over the last weekend.

The man according to residents of the area lived in the area until recently when he relocated with his family to Surulere. He apparently left an attachment in the form of a side chic with whom he had a last rendezvous last weekend.

Journalists gathered that on Saturday night the SUV with plate number EPE 666 GE , was noticed at Double Star bus-stop. However  curiosity set in  when residents began to wonder when the vehicle remained at the same spot till Sunday night drawing the curiosity of neighbours.
